IT'S COAT SEASON!
As fall slides into winter we start sliding into coats. We have practiced the art of layering and using multi season pieces to get through the in between temps.
No more making due...you’ve gotta put on a coat. BUT I’m here to help you get out of the “black puffer” rut with some inspiration for a more stylish winter look!
Maxi coats- this looks has been showing up in 2 ways. You can be classic and go for a lean, stream lined look. This classic look lends itself well to dress up and dress down situation. Pair it with feminine skirts, sleek boots and chic turtlenecks. The opposite way is the oversized trend. This cozy youthful look pairs well with layers! Throw on your retro jeans, a pair of sneakers and a layered sweater combo. You’ll feel cozy and cool.
Pop of color -nothing beats the winter blues like color! We do it when we place colorful flowers on our tables or try out a new poppin lipstick. Your coat is the perfect opportunity to fight old man winter every day! You can even do it in your puffy coat!
Faux fur- the beauty thing about fashion is you have choices!! Some of us love a luxurious genuine fur coat. Others of us take serious issue with humans wearing fur... what I love is that we have some beautiful faux fur options no matter your philosophy. Have fun with colors and patterns or rock options that resemble genuine fur. Either way, have fun.
